Terms of Service

Last updated 12 August 2026

These terms describe how MicroWorkJobs works and what we expect from you. We have written them in plain language rather than legalese — where a rule is enforced automatically by the platform, we say so.

1. Who can use MicroWorkJobs

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to claim referral commission, take the same job twice, or evade a suspension will result in all of those accounts being closed and any balance forfeited.

2. How work and payment operate

Employers post jobs and fund them in advance. When a job goes live, the full cost — worker payments plus our commission — is moved into escrow and cannot be spent on anything else.

Workers complete a task and submit proof. The employer then has a review window (set per job, typically 72 hours) to accept or reject. If the employer does not respond within that window, the task is approved automatically and the worker is paid. Silence is not a way to avoid paying for completed work.

A rejection must include a written reason. Rejecting returns the slot to the job so another worker can attempt it.

3. Our commission

We charge a commission on job spending, shown to the employer before they publish and calculated by the same code that charges them. Deposit and withdrawal fees, where they apply, are displayed before you confirm.

4. Your balance

Funds in your account are held for you and are not a deposit with a bank. We do not pay interest. Your balance is recorded in an append-only ledger, and you can view every entry and its running balance in your statement.

Withdrawals are reviewed before being sent. New accounts must wait three days before their first withdrawal — this exists to limit payment fraud, and it protects everyone including you.

5. What is not allowed

  • Submitting fake, incomplete, or copied proof of work
  • Posting jobs that are illegal, deceptive, or that harm third parties
  • Jobs requiring the worker to spend their own money, or to hand over passwords
  • Using automation or bots to complete tasks
  • Creating multiple accounts, or referring accounts you control
  • Attempting to move payment off-platform to avoid commission or escrow

Accounts that break these rules may be suspended. Where a suspension follows confirmed fraud, associated balances may be withheld pending investigation.

6. Disputes

If you disagree with a rejection or an approval, open a dispute on the task. Both sides can present evidence and our team makes a decision. We can reverse a payment or release one, and our decision is final on the platform — though it does not affect any rights you have outside it.

7. Closing accounts

You can stop using MicroWorkJobs at any time. Withdraw your balance first; we will process any legitimate outstanding withdrawal after an account is closed.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless doing so would get in the way of an ongoing review.

8. Liability

MicroWorkJobs is a marketplace. We hold funds in escrow and enforce the rules above, but the work itself is agreed between employer and worker. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or the conduct of other users beyond the protections described here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes

We will give notice of material changes by email and on the site. Continuing to use MicroWorkJobs after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
